To show dealer WorkSpaces LLC how much Kimball Office appreciates their partnership, a fiesta was thrown in their honor.  The name of the event: Fiesta Friday, of course.

“This is something that we are doing more often here at the showroom. We really want everyone to get to know who they are working with,” says D.C. Showroom Manager Alexandra Hijjawi.

Kimball Office’s Alexandra Hijjawi, Staci Wilson and Elizabeth Hurley are all the fashion in their funky Fiesta Friday gear.

Tex-Mex food, margaritas, and fun decorations added to the festivities. And let’s not forget the Cornhole tournament and piñata.

“It was great fun,” says Alexandra. “It enabled us to mingle and get to know one another. I can see another Fiesta Friday in the near future.”

Baseball is important in St. Louis…and so is Minds Eye Information Service, a non-profit radio station for the area’s 11,000 blind or print-impaired people.

Knowing this, Kimball Office’s St. Louis sales team and their Select Dealer, Interiors Unlimited, teamed up to participate in a fundraiser that brings baseball and Minds Eye together to benefit the community.

Beep Ball is a derivative of baseball, played by blind and visually impaired individuals and by sighted individuals wearing blindfolds. The game involves a ball that emits a rapid beep and bases, which look more like football tackle dummies, that buzz after the ball is hit. In the case of players who are not visually-challenged, a blindfold is worn by the batter and all other players on the field except for the pitcher and catcher.

Proceeds from the tournament benefited Minds Eye, which consists of volunteers who read close to 150 magazines, newspapers, books and retail ads weekly so that people who are blind or print impaired can hear all of the things that you may take for granted.

Honorary team members included O’Toole Design Associates and M+H Architects, who are big supporters of Kimball Office and Interiors Unlimited.
