Today, to celebrate Arbor Day, Kimball Office is excited to make a donation on behalf of our distribution partners, the A&D Community, and our customers to the Arbor Day Foundation. With this donation to the Arbor Day Foundation, we are extending our history of reforestation projects as this gift will help to plant trees for cleaner air, cleaner water, and to beautify our lands for generations to come.
We, along with our parent company, Kimball International, have planted nearly 400,000 trees through our Trees for Tomorrow program. Thank you to our dealer partners, A&D Communitiy, and our customers for thinking “green” and participating in neighborhood enhancements, disaster recovery efforts, and supporting the longevity of the world’s forests.

Kimball Office employees recently opened their hearts…and closets…to help those in need. Over 1,000 pairs of shoes and more than $4,000 have been collected and donated from Kimball Office to Soles4Souls. The gently used shoes and money will provide support for people in more than 125 countries.
Soles4Souls is a nonprofit charity based in Nashville, TN and has provided over 14 million pairs of new or gently worn shoes to people in need. Soles4Souls provides someone with a pair of shoes every seven seconds.
“To complete the donation drive, our logistics operations provided a truck fleet to deliver the shoes to the organization’s distribution warehouse in Alabama,” said Allen Parker, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “It’s been humbling to see our company come together to help so many people.”

Kimball Office was pleased to join in the third annual “World Heavyweight Chili Championship 09″ in Chattanooga, Tennessee. OCI, the Chattanooga Kimball Office Select Dealer, was an event sponsor. The goal of the December 5th event was to raise funds for the local Chattanooga Habitat for Humanity.
Twenty chili teams competed from around the globe, with music provided by four local bands, events held for the kids, and earth-friendly holiday decorations provided by “Restore”. ReStore accepts donations of new and gently used items from individuals and businesses in the Chattanooga community, and sells those items to the public at a reduced cost, usually 50-70 percent of the original retail value. All proceeds go toward building Habitat homes with the local Habitat affiliate.
