    It’s been a VERY busy NeoCon East week for us at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland! Show traffic has been brisk and Kimball Office Booth 1809 is flooded with end users from many industries interested in our new product introductions.

    On Wednesday, designer David Allan Pesso was busy all day giving demonstrations of his latest office innovation, Fluent.  It’s the perfect product solution to bridge the gap between private office and the open plan. Our popular Kimball Office | Interstuhl seating line was on hand, including the Mitos and Fit chair, which everyone seems to love – it’s never empty!

    Also on Wednesday, our very own Elizabeth Hurley, Strategic Account Manager, was a speaker at a seminar about techniques to build stronger relationships between furniture representatives, dealers and designers.  Way to go, Liz!  And if that’s not enough, Kimball Office had the hottest after party with hot appetizers, entertainment, and a Martini bar!  All of our souvenir martini glasses were given away in the first hour!

    We’re in Orlando this week for IFMA’s annual World Workplace, and it’s a hot one! We’re not just talking about our new products – Florida is experiencing record highs for October in the mid 90′s – whew! But we’re not wilting – we have a busy day planned at the Orange County Convention Center.

  • Too Much Love for the Kimball Office | Interstuhl Chairs at IIDEX 2009?

    It’s a busy day at IIDEX in Toronto, Canada…and we’re on our toes just trying to stay on top of our chairs!

    We thought our Kimball Office | Interstuhl chairs would be popular (after all, they are featured in Hollywood films), but we didn’t know our fans would be riding away on them!

    We were expecting a reaction to the Fit chair, our Innovation – Best of NeoCon 2009 winner. At our Chicago Showroom Event this June, we heard everything from “Can it be used for pitching practice?” to “If I sit down, am I going to bounce back out?” (No to both, in case you were wondering.) We just didn’t expect to be on guard duty – these chairs are so popular we’re just trying to make sure they don’t wander away!

  • Interstuhl Fit Awarded Innovation: Best of NeoCon 2009

    We had very exciting news this morning. The Interstuhl “Fit” chair was given an “Innovation – Best of NeoCon 2009” This chair is definitely unique, and the recognition for its design is very rewarding.

    An innovation award is one of NeoCon’s highest honors. It is very exciting to have this recognition for  a product that just came into the Kimball Office family.

    Fit looks like a flat surface before you sit down – using an innovative weaving method to create different areas of firmer and softer seating to stretch to fit your body. And the mesh fabric gives you room to breathe, so your body temperature adjusts naturally.
