  • Kimball Office’s Fearless Females

    Kimball Office’s Rhonda Scherer, Kathy Sigler, and Chris Durcholz recently volunteered their time to the latest annual Fearless Females event in Jasper, Indiana.  Rhonda is an environmental and safety manager, Chris is a quality coordinator, and Kathy is director of operations for Kimball Office-Jasper.

    Fearless Females reaches out to females in middle school and early high school, helping them develop an awareness and understanding of career opportunities in manufacturing.

    “The students toured Vincennes University Jasper Campus and met with professional women, like Chris, Kathy and me, to discuss the roles we hold within our organizations,” says Rhonda.  “We discussed our roles and talked to them about their career aspirations,” says Rhonda.  “The purpose of the event was to encourage young women to evaluate careers that may be outside the traditional roles held by women, along with the educational aspects. “

    It was also an opportunity to get the word out about Kimball Office.  A display was set-up with information about Kimball Office and included handouts such as pencils, note pads, Kimball Office totes, and stick pins with the Hum logo.

  • Get Schooled at Kimball Office…

    Did you know that Kimball Office offers classes for dealer partners and internal employees?  From basic product knowledge to extensive specification, be sure to check out the training workshop calendar to see if there is a class (in person or web conference) that interests you. 

    Recently we hosted a P103 class at our Jasper location, and guests from 6 dealerships attended.  P103 (Product in Application) is a hands-on three-day session that focuses on technical product details and using CAP/AutoCAD to develop efficient specifications. 

    Participants reviewed products and even installed some systems components to get a better understanding of the internal structure.  Tours of manufacturing facilities and the corporate headquarters were also a part of the class.  Specification and installation tips and tricks were shared among the group and the instant camaraderie provided for excellent networking opportunities.

  • Office Interiors of Jonesboro Showroom Event

    Congratulations to Office Interiors on their successful grand opening event!  The new Office Interiors of Jonesboro showroom is a beautiful showcase of many Kimball Office products and amazing architecture and daylight views. 

    More than 300 visitors attended the open house to congratulate dealer principals Bill Williams (and wife, Ceil) and Larry Kee (and wife, Martha), as well as Jonesboro sales Manager Cheryl Davis.  Office Interiors now has showroom locations in Memphis (TN), Jackson (TN), and Jonesboro (AR). 

    Throughout the facility, Definition, Transcend, Cetra, Interworks EQ, and various seating lines are highlighted.  The new showroom also includes a working resource library, using Traxx and Footprint, that is open to all local architectural firms.  Guests of the grand opening were treated to a musical duet and a beautiful 10′  ice sculpture filled with shrimp.

    Best wishes to the entire Jonesboro staff, and continued success to Bill Williarms, Larry Kee, and Cheryl Davis.  We are excited to continue this adventure with such a wonderful group of people and to be represented in such a breathtaking facility.

  • O’Reilly Office Opens New Facility

    Congratulations to O’Reilly Office for an outstanding Open House event!  The amazing, new facility is located in Columbus, OH, and features Kimball Office products in the showroom as well as the working offices.  The grand opening event was a rousing success and was attended by A&D representatives, customers, and Kimball Office personnel.

  • Extreme Office Makeover Contest Winner Announced

    Kimball Office and Michigan dealer Airea, recently held an Extreme Office Makeover contest.  Airea and Kimball Office wanted to showcase Airea’s new furniture showroom and give something back to the community.  Votes were tallied on-line and Starfish Family Services won the office makeover.

  • Kimball Office Co-hosts an Evening Under the Stars

    More than 230 architects and designers, from in and around the greater Los Angeles area, enjoyed drinks, light bites, and dancing at an Evening Under the Stars.  Kimball Office, Systems Source, and Mohawk Group hosted a successful party, full of fun and star treatment.  Guests enjoyed a DJ, great food, and a photo booth.  Villa, Fit, and Campos seating products were highlighted throughout the event.

  • Can You Hit the Fit??

    Kimball Office Dallas celebrated the annual IFMA DFW Golf Tournament with Select Dealer partner and event sponsor, Corporate Source.  Kimball Office sponsored the 11th hole and featured a Fit lounge chair.  Golfers were encouraged to Hit the Fit…and win a chair of their own.

    The Fit chair was positioned at 198 yards…and the hole was only 173 yards, so golfers had to make up their mind on the drive if they were aiming for the hole or to Hit the Fit!

  • Select Dealer, KV Workspace, Hosts CEU Event

    Recently, Select Dealer KV Workspace in Mandeville LA, IIDA Delta Chapter, and Kimball Office sponsored a CEU event on Sound Rated Floor Systems.  The CEU was presented by Anna Nail with Amorim Cork Composites from Trevor, Wisconsin.  Anna was extremely passionate from the STC – IIC terminology to the Concrete and Cork floor and ceiling assemblies. 

    The show stopper was the Kimball Office Fit chair giveaway.  The drawing was performed by local Market Sales Manager, Phyllis Mayo and KV President and Owner Kris VanDierendonck.

  • Chicago Showroom Hosts Opening Party of SOBCon

    The Social Media Club of Chicago hosted an opening party of SOBCon in the Kimball Office Chicago Showroom.  The Successful and Outstanding Bloggers Conference was held over two days in Chicago and focused on strategy and tactics for integrating online and offline social marketing.

  • Kimball Office Takes Orlando and Boston by Storm

    Did you get a chance to check out Kimball Office this week in Orlando or Boston?  The VHA Leadership Conference, the Legal Administrator’s Annual Conference, and the Annual GSA Expo were all held this week and Kimball Office provided furniture inspirations for all three.  Visitors to the Kimball Office booths got first hand experience with Fluent desks and storage, as well as Axos, Bingo, Fit, and Hero. Just for You. seating.    

    The VHA Leadership Conference in Orlando hosted a wide variety of environmentally friendly, flexible solutions for health care facilities.  Kimball Office showcased flexible, comfortable accommodations suitable for private and public lounge areas.  “The health care industry is changing rapidly and its office environments need to keep pace by encouraging open communication among employees, and provide privacy and comfort to patients and their families,” said Jeff Fenwick, Vice President and General Manager at Kimball Office.  “It is important we provide innovative solutions that offer comfort and support for today’s and tomorrow’s office and lobby requirements.”

    Boston hosted The Legal Administrator’s Annual Conference, geared toward the legal industry.  With the trend moving to a more mobile workforce, legal firms need to balance private office and open floor areas for maximizing productivity among a diverse workforce. The Kimball Office booth featured flexible, sustainable furnishings that adapt to traditional and modern workspace preferences.

    The Annual General Services Administration (GSA) Expo, held in Orlando, encouraged attendees to think outside of the constraints of a traditional office.  This government focused Expo promoted workspace configurations that provided more collaborative, open environments. “Our nationwide government account services team provides complete support to government agencies looking for new ideas to furnish new or existing office spaces.” added Fenwick.

    Registered attendees at each show entered to win their own Kimball Office | interstuhl Fit chair by dropping a business card at the booth, or by registering online at www.kimballoffice.com/tradeshows.  The winner will be announced on Friday, May 10th.  “Fit is an exceptional chair, which conforms to even the slightest movement, and its unique aesthetic continues to enhance the product’s popularity,” added Fenwick.
